Since I am going to be doing all these cookie recipes and today is Friday, we need a cocktail right? Right. Chocolate chip cookies are one of my favorites. Basic, simple cookies. They can have nuts, candy, raisins or whatever you want to add to them. But the basic chocolate chip cookie never fails to please. I found this recipe several years ago in Rachael Ray’s magazine. She has a few other “cookie cocktails” which I’ll include in the upcoming Friday posts this month. But today is a Chocolate Chip Martini. Nothing really fancy either. It’s not a creamy martini. Which in a way saves calories! So it’s low-cal! Ok, maybe not but it’s delicious. I don’t have butterscotch schnapps or I’d make them right now myself! Tomorrow I’ll have to make a run to the liquor store and get some so I can put my own picture in here as well! Have a few actual cookies to go along with this tasty martini if you wish! Who says you can’t have cookies and alcohol!
INGREDIENTS:
6 chocolate chips, for garnish
Ice cubes
2 ounces white crème de cacao (¼ cup)
2 ounces dark crème de cacao (¼ cup)
1½ ounces chocolate vodka (3 tablespoons)
1½ ounces butterscotch schnapps (3 tablespoons)
DIRECTIONS:
Place 3 chocolate chips in each of 2 martini glasses. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add the white and dark crème de cacao, the vodka and butterscotch schnapps and shake well. Strain into the glasses.
